COCO DUNMIRE AWARDED TALENTE PRIZE 2009
511 Gallery is pleased to announce that jewelry artist Coco Dunmire has been awarded the Talente Prize 2009 at the Munich International Trade Fair in Germany. Talente is Europe's most prestigious juried competitive exhibition that shows work by talented, young and emerging artists, working in crafts, design, and technology. Dunmire won for her three contemporary jewelry pieces accepted for exhibition at the fair.
Coco Dunmire, whose work is exhibited and sold through 511 Gallery in New York and Lake Placid, was chosen from over the 99 exhibitors who had already been pre-selected for the show. Makers admitted into Talente must be under 30 years old, have trained at an art college and have completed their full-time education. Dunmire received her B.A. degree from Sarah Lawrence College and has been a specialization student in Master Classes at the Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence, Italy during the current year.
An international jury selects the winner of the Talente prize, and the exhibition is accompanied by a full color catalogue.
