We are a gallery of contemporary art, whose focus is to show emerging artists from the United States and abroad who work in the various media of painting, sculpture, photography, and installation art. The gallery curates eight to ten solo exhibitions each year, as well as a group thematic show for the months of July and August.
511 GALLERY first opened its doors in September, 2002, in the historic Manhattan area of Chelsea. Our first gallery, named Miller/Geisler Gallery, was on West 25th Street, but quickly grew into our second location in the 529 Arts Building on West 20th Street. 511 GALLERY New York is currently located in the Chelsea Mercantile Building, 252 Seventh Avenue, between 24th and 25th streets.
